I would recommend this book to people eight and up for people who like excitement and adventure. This book is very long, but it seems to be quickly read, and it does not have very many challenging words. I hope you read and enjoy DRAGON RIDER!
Mysterious Benedict Society

Review by: Kelly H. (age 8)
This book is about Reynie Muldoon, a wise and clever 10 year old; Sticky Washington, a 10 year old who has everything he reads stick in his mind; Kate Whetherall, a very adventurous and talented 13 year old who is always prepared; and...well, Constance Contraire (my favorite character), who is stubborn as a mule and loves to tell rhymes (usually not very pleasant ones) but may prove helpful. These children go on a mind bending mission that if they fail all is lost. This is my favorite book, because it's funny and has lots of adventure. I would recommend this book to both boys and girls ages eight and up that love adventure and to laugh out loud.
I think this book has some challenging words, so make sure you have a dictionary near by! Some parts in this book may not seem important, but sometimes they are clues to later on in this book. This is the first book in a series. There are currently three books available in the series. I hope you enjoy the book!
Very nice review, Kelly! Thanks for taking the time to do this! Makes me want to read the book :).
